Refund and Revision Policy

1. Scope

This Refund and Revision Policy explains how Resume Genie handles service revisions, refund requests, turnaround estimates, and fulfillment questions for purchased resume service packages, audits, and related career-document deliverables. It should be read together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Resume Genie is a human-reviewed service. AI-assisted tools may support intake review, drafting, formatting checks, and operational workflows, but human reviewers anchor the service decisions and recommendations delivered to customers.

2. Customer Materials and Service Fulfillment

To fulfill an order, we rely on the materials you provide, including uploaded resumes, target roles, job descriptions, intake answers, preferred accomplishments, feedback, and other context. You are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and lawful materials and for responding to reasonable clarification requests.

Deliverables are based on the package purchased and the information available during review. We may recommend edits, structure changes, keyword alignment, or positioning choices, but you remain responsible for final review and use of any submitted resume, cover letter, LinkedIn copy, audit, or related deliverable.

3. Turnaround Expectations

Turnaround estimates depend on complete intake materials, package scope, order volume, reviewer availability, and timely customer responses. Unless a package page or order confirmation states otherwise, turnaround windows are estimates rather than guarantees.

If we need missing information, clarification, file access, or approval before work can continue, the estimated delivery window may pause until the requested materials are received. Business-day estimates exclude weekends and U.S. holidays unless expressly stated otherwise.

4. Revision Window

Revision window requests must be submitted within seven (7) calendar days after delivery unless your package or written order confirmation states a different period. Revisions are intended to refine the delivered work within the original package scope, such as clarifying wording, correcting formatting issues, incorporating reasonable feedback, or adjusting emphasis for the originally supplied target role.

Revisions do not include a new resume strategy, a different target role or industry, new documents not included in the order, material rewrites caused by incomplete or inaccurate intake answers, or additional rounds beyond the package scope unless we expressly agree in writing.

5. Refund Eligibility and Limits

Refund requests submitted before work begins may be eligible for a full or partial refund, depending on payment-processing costs and any administrative work already performed. Once intake review, human review, drafting, audit work, or other fulfillment activity has started, refund requests submitted after work begins are limited and are evaluated based on work completed, package scope, and applicable law.

We generally do not provide refunds because a customer changes goals after purchase, provides incomplete materials, misses the revision window, requests work outside the original scope, or is dissatisfied with career outcomes outside our control. Where a delivered item materially does not match the purchased package, our first remedy is usually a reasonable correction or in-scope revision.

Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable consumer rights or refund rights required by applicable law.

6. No Guaranteed Career Outcomes

No resume service can promise or assure ATS passage, interviews, jobs, hiring, placement, salary outcomes, or employer responses. Hiring decisions depend on employer practices, candidate background, market conditions, role fit, timing, and many factors outside Resume Genie's control. Our service provides career-document support and human-reviewed recommendations; it does not provide recruiting, placement, employment, or legal advice.

7. How to Request a Revision or Refund

To request an in-scope revision or ask about refund eligibility, contact support@getresumegenie.com with your account email, order details, delivered file or audit reference, and a clear explanation of the issue. We may ask for additional information before completing our review.
